UPDATE 5 A.M. 8/31/2017 ROUTE 35 EXPECTED TO REOPEN BY APPROXIMATELY 8 AM THIS MORNING
Pipe repairs on Route 35 were completed yesterday evening, pavement restoration continues through the early morning hours and we anticipate that Route 35 will be reopened by about 8 a.m. today.
Update 9:30 p.m. 8/30/2017 ROUTE 35 WATER MAIN BREAK - ROAD REMAINS CLOSED THROUGH THE EVENING
Crews continue to work through the night to complete the pipeline replacement which caused a closure on Route 35 between Route 1 and Green Street in Woodbridge. Work includes stabilizing the road, backfilling the trench and preparing the road for paving in the early morning hours. Detours remain in place. Please drive with caution. Next update will be provided at 5 a.m.
Portion of Route 35 in Woodbridge Remains Closed as Repairs Continue on Water Main Break
August 30, 2017 2:00 p.m.- Middlesex Water crews are continuing efforts to repair a large water main break which occurred on Route 35 in Woodbridge, NJ early this morning. The break prompted road closures in both directions on Route 35 from the Route 1 intersection to Green Street in Woodbridge. The road is expected to remain closed through the evening as this large infrastructure repair continues. Motorists are strongly encouraged to use alternate routes, drive with caution and to follow the detours in place. Check back for updates at www.middlesexwater.com
