John P. Mulkerin

JOHN P. MULKERIN, age 70, became a director of the Company is 1997. Prior to his retirement, he served as President and Chief Executive Officer of First Sentinel Bancorp, Inc., Holding Company for First Savings Bank, Perth Amboy, New Jersey and was a member of the Boards of Directors of said Companies. First Sentinel Bancorp, Inc. was acquired by Provident Financial Services, Inc., the Holding Company for The Provident Bank. Mr. Mulkerin currently serves on the Boards of Directors of both of those Companies. Mr. Mulkerin is a Director of Raritan Bay Medical Center, Daytop Village Foundation and Middlesex County College. He is Chairman of the Audit Committee and the Audit Committee Financial Expert; and a Member of the Corporate Governance Committee, Nominating Committee and Pension Committee.
