J. Richard Tompkins

Chairman of the Board

J. RICHARD TOMPKINS, age 69, became a director of the Company in 1981. He has served as Chairman of the Board of the Company since May 1990 and was President from May 1981-2003. Mr. Tompkins is a past President of the National Association of Water Companies and the New Jersey Utilities Association. He is past Director and Chairman of Tidewater Utilities, Inc. (TUI), White Marsh Environmental Systems, Inc., (a subsidiary of TUI), Pinelands Water Company, Pinelands Wastewater Company, Utility Service Affiliates, Inc., Utility Service Affiliates (Perth Amboy) Inc., and Bayview Water Company. He currently serves as a member of the Capital Improvement Committee, the Nominating Committee and the ad hoc Pricing Committee.
